The KPI Institute’s presentation: Trends in Employee Performance Management
Cristina Tărâță, Head of Research Programs at The KPI Institute, delivered on the 2nd of February 2016, a 30 minutes’ presentation as part of the 14th Annual HR Directors Business Summit which took place in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
The HR Directors Business Summit brought together key personnel, thought leaders, HR practitioners and HR service providers. The summit provided a unique platform for HR professionals to access leading information and key knowledge to advance their own work strategies and careers.
Cristina’s presentation“Reflecting the individual contribution to company’s overall performance through KPI’s” explored the interdependencies between performance management tools and the way they can be deployed in practice.
The presentation focused on three key topics:
- Trends in employee performance management;
- The state of Employee Performance Management;
- KPIs to map individual contribution to strategy achievement;
Working with KPIs in quantifying the impact of individuals requires a concerted effort. The KPI Institute approach focused on employee performance management tools: individual objectives, KPIs, competencies assessment, self-assessment, behaviors assessment.
Priorities to be considered in 2016:
- Increase employee engagement;
- Improve link between employee learning and performance;
- Optimize the connection between employee performance system to rewards;
- Frequency of feedback;
- Improved compensation & benefits framework.
