Start selecting the most suitable KPIs for your business!
The KPI Institute is gladly announcing that two Key Performance Indicators dictionaries will be launched in April 2015!
After more than two years of hard work and continuous research, our dedicated team has designated the most important industries and functional areas which rely on the selection of the most suitable KPIs for an outstanding performance management and measurement system. In addition, denomination, calculation formula and accurate definition, represent the unique value these dictionaries add for both individuals and organizations interested in improving their performance and enabling a smooth decision making process.
About the KPI Dictionaries
Both dictionaries can be used in the early stages of implementing a performance management framework, in the process of selecting and documenting KPIs, but also to improve an existing performance measurement system.
They also represent a useful instrument in the KPI lifecycle, providing information in regards to the most important fields of a KPI documentation form, such as KPI definition and calculation formula.
The KPI Dictionaries are a novelty in the field of Performance Management and Measurement and do not have the classical structure of defining terminologies, but rather organize the Key Performance Indicators into main clusters and subcategories, offering a clear overview on the most important and useful KPIs.
- The KPI Dictionary Volume I: Functional Areas focuses on presenting performance indicators grouped into 16 functional areas
- The KPI Dictionary Volume II: Industries focuses on presenting performance indicators grouped into 25 main industries
Structure of the KPI Dictionaries
The works enlist the names and calculation formulas for more than 8,000 KPIs, which have been documented over the past ten years, being a useful tool in the process of understanding, selecting and working with KPIs.
Professionals, practitioners, consultants, researchers, managers and academicians can have in their own library a rich database with the most important elements of key performance indicators: definitions and formulas. They don’t have to look anymore for them through dozens of publications, as The KPI Dictionaries bring the most relevant information in two unique books.
The KPI Dictionary is easy to use, as the KPIs are clustered either on an industry or functional area basis and sorted in alphabetical order. Furthermore, each indicator contains the following sections:
- Name
- Definition
- Sub-metrics
- Calculation formula
- ID Code
