The KPI Institute at CIMA branch presentation – Designing Valid Performance Measurement Systems
The KPI Institute is delighted to share expertise on performance management, due to its participation at the CIMA Victoria branch presentation ,, Designing Valid Performance Measurement Systems’’, held in Melbourne, Australia, in 19th May 2016.
Designing a Performance Management System that actually works is a major challenge to most organizations. At present, companies spend significant amounts of time and resources to implement PMS and pay less attention to the “validity” of the measure.
The presentation will be focused on the following topics:
- What exactly is validity
- How can we design PMS in emerging areas?
- How does a valid PMS complement other management accounting techniques?
All these issues will be illustrated with practical examples drawn from case study research conducted by Prof Brown and his co-researchers.
The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion with industry experts, such as David Brown, Professor of Management Accounting at the University of Technology Sydney, Aurel Brudan, CEO The KPI Institute, a founder member of the CIMA Centre for Excellence and many others.
